Finally, the city of Worms is once again inviting visitors from near and far to discover the “Worms Christmas” during the Advent season. From Parmaplatz via Obermarkt and the Winzerbrunnen to the Roman Emperor, culinary delights, artisan crafts, unusual activities and mulled wine await at the Worms Christmas market.
The strong identification of the people of the Nibelungen city with their Christmas market can be seen in many places: In addition to the rides for the younger visitors, the Worms stallholders also offer gastronomic delights - from sweeter treats to hearty dishes and Christmas specialties. The mulled wine in the wine town naturally comes from local winegrowers, among others. A popular meeting place, for example, is the stand of “Kloose Helmut”. At his lovingly named Philosophenplatz at the Römischer Kaiser, there are flute flash mobs, craft sessions and creative performances. Local associations, institutions and private individuals present their products in three temporary stalls on one or more days. The inhabitants of the Nibelungen city are also involved in the varied stage program on the Obermarkt during Advent.
The traditional highlight of “Wormser Weihnacht” is the joint singing at the tower blowing on the 4th Advent.
