The International Hurdy-Gurdy Festival is back in the “Colorful City on the Rhine river” when the reels start turning and wooden pipes start trilling.

Around Ascension Day, the ‘colourful city on the Rhine’ revives old, cherished traditions with the International Barrel Organ Festival. Various barrel organ players from Germany, Austria, Norway and Switzerland will fill the historic old town with nostalgia on 14 May and 16 May from 10 a.m. and on 17 May from 10:30 a.m. You can hear almost everything from ballads and Berlin Zille to kölsche Tön (Cologne tunes).

A special highlight is the charity concert “Barrel organs in classical concert”, because the special acoustics of the beautiful old St. Martin's Church harmonize perfectly with the classical sounds of the historic barrel organs. An event with a very special charm.

The event “Barrel organs in classical concert” takes place on May 30 at 5 pm in St. Martin's Church.
Entrance is free, but the barrel organ players ask for a donation for a good cause.

Stroll, enjoy, listen and linger in the “Colorful City on the Rhine”.
We look forward to your visit.
