Harbor Christmas market at the Chocolate Museum

Again this year, against a picturesque backdrop directly on the Rhine, Cologne's Harbour Christmas Market at the Chocolate Museum will enliven the gateway to the Rheinauhafen and add a maritime touch to Christmas in Cologne. Here, your guests will experience an extraordinary atmosphere and a diverse range of Christmas offerings. Numerous artisans and restaurateurs invite you to take a stroll through the sea of white pagoda tents. The square in front of the Chocolate Museum has been a popular destination among Cologne's Christmas markets for over 20 years. Its location near the old town and directly on the Rhine river is one of the most beautiful in Cologne and can be reached in a few minutes on foot from the old town/cathedral and the city centre via the Rhine promenade. Together with the Chocolate Museum, the listed harbour swing bridge (Cologne's oldest surviving bridge over the Rhine), the Malakoff Tower (the historic watchtower at the entrance to Cologne harbour) and the modern art'otel, the market square forms the entrance to a brand new district – the Rheinauhafen.

The Cologne Harbour Christmas Market, with its beautiful setting and unique theme of ‘Christmas Market by the Water’, is an exciting and attractive destination for your guests. A visit to the Chocolate Museum or a ride on the Cologne Ferris Wheel round off the experience.

After a short renovation, the market will be extended from 26 December 2025. 
After a short break (Christmas Eve/Christmas Day) and renovation, the harbour Christmas market will be extended!
Extra days with a few stalls and cosy food and drinks at the Ferris wheel!
