Twinkling stars, Christmas baubles, the smell of biscuits, the sounds of Christmas, fir trees, gift ribbons, mulled wine, a friendly man with a long, white beard and lots of festive cheer - this is what awaits visitors to the first Boppard Christmas market on the historic market square. Framed by beautiful old half-timbered houses, under the eyes of the town's landmark, St Severus Church, the festively decorated Christmas stalls are lined up with all kinds of offerings.
Between festively decorated Christmas trees and fairy lights, everyone can find the gift they are looking for and many a treat. From Christmas accessories, gifts and souvenirs to traditional Christmas sweets and very practical things - there's always time for a glass of mulled wine in between. And a little more, for the Christmas programme consisting of a visit from Father Christmas and the Christ Child, a carriage ride, toboggan run, Polar Express and much more, for both young and old. The Christmas market in Boppard is a wonderful opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
