Spectacular acrobatics, enchanting cabaret, and a brand-new arts and crafts market - this free street theater festival for the whole family transforms Bingen's Kulturufer into a three-kilometer-long stage!
An unforgettable summer day full of art, culture, and playful lightheartedness - the KULTURUFERFEST features extraordinary artists and imaginative performances: Amidst the picturesque backdrop at the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, groups of artists transport the audience into a world of acrobatics, music, comedy, and cabaret. From 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., a program for young and old alike is offered, inspiring, enchanting, and surprising with endless fun and free admission.
Creative programme to marvel at & join in
One day after Rhine in Flames®, the Bingen Kulturufer is transformed into an imaginative open-air stage: surprisingly daring acrobatic acts, magical walk acts and interactive performances invite you to discover, marvel and join in. A variety of acrobatic and artistic acts as well as imaginative theatre and clowning performances provide surprising aha moments. Whether interactive magic, daring juggling or even an invitation to an exciting journey through time - there is plenty to discover!
Osmo Solo presents live music with acoustic interpretations of rock, wave and pop classics as well as original compositions. The forest orchestra invites you to join in: The characteristic soundscape of the forest comes to life in a unique sound space. At the final concert of the anniversary festival, Susan Brown and the Ballin' Keen will provide 50s flair with rousing rockabilly and rock'n'roll from 5.30 pm at the Rhein-Nahe-Eck.
Artisan market
Last year, the arts and crafts market made its debut at the KULTURUFERFEST. It will be enriching the festival again this year. More than 40 stands invite visitors to browse and stroll. Unique jewelry, handmade works of art, ceramics, design objects, and much more can be found between the customs office and the old industrial crane from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A wide variety of culinary delights are available right on the Rhine-Nahe corner, around the Museum am Strom and at the Hindenburg Anlage: local winegrowers, bars and regional restaurateurs offer a variety of culinary delights and summer refreshments.
